Why can I shop Best Buy in ChatGPT when there's no Best Buy app?

Because they are two different systems. Best Buy, The Home Depot, Wayfair, and Nordstrom feed product data into ChatGPT's shopping surface through the Agentic Commerce Protocol. That is not a plugin — there is nothing to install and no permissions to grant. Retailers with real apps include Target, Walmart, Sephora, and Klarna.
Why this is the pick
One of the most confusing things about the ecosystem, and it has a clean explanation.
